My best working environment:

Day-to-day:

  • I am at my best in the early to mid-morning hours

  • If calls and meetings are necessary, I'd rather have them after lunch

  • A healthy balance of independent work interspersed with small team work sessions

What I need to do great work:
  • An ability to devise and act up on my ideas

  • An opportunity to develop a specialization

  • Being of value to society and others

  • Being recognized for my discipline and responsibility to my work

  • Independence to do my work my way

  • Friendships with colleagues and the respect of the boss

  • Work that provides challenge and opportunity for improvement

The best way to give me feedback is …

Generally, to deliver my best results, I prefer:

  • A role that allows me to set and manage high standards

  • A role that would allow me to create a better society, or at least shift the dial

  • A role in which I have the opportunity to define or influence corporate values

  • A role that is focused on delivering a long-term plan

  • By giving constructive and specific criticism that provides an opportunity to learn and improve moving forward

  • I am strong-headed, so be ready for a push-back on some criticism, especially in the areas where I have done my research and/or hold strong philosophical and moral beliefs

Dealing with stress:
  • I am not a fan of stress; however, stress does NOT put me in a state of paralysis, I perform well under stress (tested on a battle-field, literally, as well as in private and corporate business settings)

  • I am well suited to take action and lead the team in a high-stress environment

Beyond work, I’m interested in:
  • Topics related to the human condition: philosophy, spirituality, meditation, fitness, health and nutrition and, yes, contemplative pipe smoking etc.
